Group Chief Executive

Perry is the Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive of Pinnacle Group. After university, where he studied economics and politics, Perry started his working life as a fund manager but soon left the City to co-found his own property services business in the early 1980s. It was this business that in the late ‘90s acquired two businesses which had commenced providing outsourced housing management services to Local Authorities in the UK. From this base, Perry has led the expansion of Pinnacle Group which is now a leading private sector provider of services and investment into the social and physical regeneration of communities.

Andrew Saunders

Andrew Saunders

Group Finance & Resources Director

Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA) and holder of the ICAEW’s Corporate Finance (CF) qualification. A graduate of Durham University, Andrew joined Pinnacle Group in 2009 having worked in the M&A and Private Equity advisory team at RSM (formerly Baker Tilly). Whilst at Pinnacle Andrew has led on the disposal and acquisition of joint venture interests as well as fundraising and shareholder projects whilst taking on senior management roles. Andrew has responsibility for the Finance, HR and IT departments as well as being Chairman of our flagship regeneration scheme. Andrew works alongside Perry on strategy, corporate development and change programs, including the rebranding and restructuring of the Group in 2015. Outside the office, Andrew is a Council Member of the Amateur Football Association and enjoys playing golf, cricket and football, skiing and watching rugby.


Roger Clarke

Non-Executive Director

Roger is the Chief Executive of Tunstall Real Estate Asset Management. He is responsible for the Firm’s overall strategy, for providing investment advice to the Funds managed by Tunstall, overseeing investor relations and reporting, and the general management of Tunstall’s operating activities. He is a member of Tunstall’s Investment Committee.  Prior to establishing Tunstall in November 2016, Roger spent 21 years in the European investment banking industry. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen he was seconded to the UK Takeover Panel for two years before joining Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s M&A department. He began to focus on real estate in 2004 when joining JP Morgan Cazenove’s investment banking division as a Director, before joining ING Real Estate as Managing Director, UK Head of Capital Advisors. Most recently he has been Managing Director in Stifel Nicolaus’s real estate investment banking team. Roger studied Politics at Exeter.

Adam Shah

Non-Executive Director

Adam Shah is a Managing Director and COO, Europe, at Starwood Capital Group. In this role, Mr. Shah oversees the asset management function for the Firm’s European portfolio of non-hotel assets. Previously, Mr. Shah was responsible for the acquisition of single assets (office, retail and industrial), non-performing loan portfolios, portfolios of secondary assets and development projects in Europe. During his time in London, Mr. Shah has formed several joint ventures and platforms to acquire assets in Europe that involved teaming up with operating partners and government-run banking entities.


Before joining Starwood Capital in 2006, he worked for six years in engineering, construction and real estate development in both Canada and the United States. Mr. Shah obtained an M.S. degree in engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Julian Newiss

Non-Executive Director

Julian Newiss is the Founding Partner of Catalyst Capital LLP, and is primarily responsible for new acquisitions and deal structuring, as well as taking a leading role in setting market strategies. He has extensive contacts in the British and European property markets that he has used to source many of Catalyst’s transactions.


Julian began his real estate career with Jones Lang Wootton, later becoming a Director of a number of London and Edinburgh Trust PLC’s international development companies. In 1993, he joined Kennedy-Wilson as European Managing Director before it became Greenwich Group International (GGI) – a global real estate investment banking and marketing group – in 1995. It was here Julian led a management buyout in 2000 to create Catalyst Capital.


Julian is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He graduated from the University of Westminster with a degree in Urban Estate Management in 1976.
